ABOUT BOSTON RODRIGUEZ...

Primarily nowadays focused as a radio presenter & producer (content and on-air), Boston has over 20+ years in the international music industry, having also cut his teeth over the years as a recording artist, record producer & remixer, composer, sound engineer (studio & live), DJ, booking agent, stage manager (festivals & live concerts/gigs), video director & producer, working promotions for a BBCRadio1 award winning club (Co-Op), A&R man at pioneering record labels and distribution manager at distribution&export companies considered meccas of certain music scenes/genres.

Boston's accolades within radio, stretch far-&-wide. From presenting the weekday breakfast show on Bondi Beach Radio for 6 years, to hosting nationwide coverage on a daytime show on leading dance music station George FM in New Zealand, voicing stings/ads for the world's biggest radio station BBCRadio1 (and 1Xtra), launching the very debut Radio Burger Fuel (formed by Red Bull) radio show across 27 different countries, to making exclusive packages, documentaries & series' for NZ's largest radio broadcaster Mediaworks and the for the government's creative funding department.

Since landing in Australia in 2014, Boston has clocked-up over 2000 live-to-air interviews, through his daily breakfast show, his live artist/band showcase show Local Vocal, and even 8 live-in-studio or phoner interviews in 60minutes each week on his Eastside Gig Guide Radio Show. 

He has also DJ's, Mc'd and live broadcast activations from a variety of different events and locations... including the Electric Gardens Festival (Centennial Park), The Latin American Festival (Bondi Pavilion), Defqon.1 (Sydney International Regatta Centre), Festival Of The Winds (Bondi Beach), Deeper Than House (Civic Underground) and Bankstown Australia Day Pool Party amongst others.

Boston's connections made within radio, helped secure him placements as a talent booking agent, having booked countless artists, bands and DJ's for various events hosted by Channel9, Sydney Morning Herald, Fairfax, Waverley Council and Canvas Events.

This in course, led to his being recruited as a stage manager on-location at various of these live events too.

Events include City2Surf, Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon, Night Noodle Markets Festival (Sydney & Melbourne), HomeGrown Series (Bondi Pavilion), Latin American Festival, The World Bar (Kings X), Broadway Crown and Music On The Streets festival.

With a long history making music, Boston has composed and produced the soundtracks for films which have featured at dozens of film festivals, including premiere's at the world renowned BFI (British Film Institute) and the Everyman Theatre (London). Some of these going on to become award winning films. Including 'Life' which won Best Short Film at the BAFTAS (British Academy of Film & Television Awards), A Most Annoying Ghost which won Best Short Film at the California Film Awards, Winner at The Online Film Festival and Best Narrative at the Family Fun Film Festival, and also 'Rolling With The Kings' which won at NECANN Film Festival amongst others.

As a recording artist and record producer, Boston has commercially released records through groundbreaking record labels, such as LTJ Bukem's Good Lookin' Records and Afronaut (from Bugz In The Attic)'s Co-Operation Records, alongside having remixed records for tastemakers such as Talkin' Loud/Brownswood/Worldwide's Gilles Peterson, scene-starters 4Hero and also for the birthplace of the broken beat genre, People Records.

Before leaving the UK to head to New Zealand in 2010, whilst operating as a music maker, Boston was also working at the spearhead of the vinyl/CD music industry, having held roles as Product Manager of Movin' Shadow (no.1 hardcore/jungle/D&B record label), and UK Distribution Manager and A&R rep at Goyamusic, the mecca and distribution centre of the broken beat genre. 

Having accidentally fallen across radio in the market heavy industry in NZ, Boston fell in love with it immediately. And tens of thousands of hours of air time later, the rest as they say, is history.
